Bay Area Transportation – Envisioning Oakland Airport Connection

Now that the San Francisco Region has approved a transit connection between Oakland International Airport and the regional rail (Bay Area Rapid Transit – BART) using $75M in federal stimulus money from ARRA the visioning process begins – how will the system interface with existing lines, future BRT in the area, and the East Oakland neighborhood? What is it likely to look like and how will it serve users from all socioeconomic levels? Could it end up being something like the Heathrow PRT systesm envisaged below?
